He did seem like a genuinely good guy. He was a little misguided but he will be sorely missed. RIP.

FF RIP

This is really a sad sad day, especially for his wife and young children, but we all feel the loss on this one.

Good man for sure.
Amen.

He always finished a retort with a smile, not a snarl. When he went on Bill Maher's show, he answered Maher's pointed questions with aplomb. He refrained from the sort of petty ad hominem attacks that are now so frequently lobbed by both sides. He was a warm, gregarious, all-around great guy. It's sad to see him leave this world at such a young age.

RIP. If heaven exists, Tony Snow is there right now.

Such a loss.  I'm sure we were all thinking that he was nearing his end when he retired last year.

When I saw him in D.C., he looked pretty good - and he was so cheerful and happy - happy to just be alive.  His personality alone was such an inspiration to me.

He seemed too young to die.

Hopefully he had access to the best available healthcare before he passed away, which is something he repeatedly tried to deny to everybody else during his career.

How dare you?  He was a good man; just becasue you don't like his politics, doesn't mean you should disrespect him when he dies.

Grow a sack.

It is very sad that he passed away, but we do know that he died despite receiving the best medical treatment around, which is something he repeatedly tried to deny others during his career.

You can think that all you want. However, you don't have to bring it up the day he died. That's just being a complete dick.

Tony Snow has gone home, and his pain has ended. When he first became White House Press Secretary in 2006 I laughed at the idea of a former FOX News anchor as a White House employee, but I was very sad when he left the job. He gave the position of press secretary a humor that Fleischer and McClellan lacked, and showed the press more respect than I;m sure any journalist deserves. Smiley

Not a fan obviously, but R.I.P just the same.

I bet he was actually a pretty cool guy if you avoided talking politics with him. I remember seeing him play guitar with Leslie West from Mountain on something. That's pretty cool.

Considering he was never in a position to deny medical care to anyone, your comment makes you look like an idiot.  Why not quit while you're behind.

Just because he didn't have the power to deny health care to poors doesn't mean he didn't support denying them health care.  Of course it is the owners who deny poors health care, but people like Snow are useful tools for maintaining their power to do so.

I see nothing wrong with New Deal Democrat's pointing out the political implications of Snow's misfortune.  People on Snow's side of the aisle assume they'll always be 'winners' - young and healthy.  In fact we all succumb to horrific illness in the end, for such is the mortal condition.  To completely disregard this in formulation of one's political position is the height of hubris.  Though as Snow's case demonstrates even the access to 'modern medicine' which is denied the poor cannot always help.

I hope he had a doctor who was liberal with the morphine.

You're such a stupid f**k.   How does one speechwriter turned TV man turned Press Secretary have the power to deny anyone a bandaid?

Back up your answer.

When you kick the bucket, I hope everyone around you only remembers how well you were able to sniff your own prostate. Seriously, though, your head is completely lodged in there. You should probably get that checked out.

Forgot to weigh in, truly one of my favorite people.  RIP

As for the absurd post in this thread, I would really love to know how a Fox News media man, who spend just over a year as a press secretary "denied health care" to anyone.  Truly dispicable from the forum's worst
