I've never understood why most (if not all) grocery store chains are not all across the country.  It seems like each region has their own, Publix and Piggly Wiggly in the South, Giant out in the Midwest, and Shop Rite and Stop and Shop in the Northeast.

We got them, there's just more Stop and Shops and Shop Rites, I think I have to go about 8 or 10 miles for an A&P, while there's about 15 grocery stores closer
