Martin and Knight statistically tied?  Not actually any better.

Fleming lost by 50 42 points? Wow. That's a remarkable win for the accidental Congressman.

4/7 of the Georgia GOP House delegation earned medical degrees. By contrast, House  Democrats have only one doctor in their caucus.

I'd rather Jones be slaughtered by Chambliss than Martin

For primaries. They used to have it for the general, but in 1996 Max Cleland came first in the November election but was under 50%. The Democrats had lost a seat in 1992 when Wyche Fowler had come in first in November and then lost the runoff(Democrats always did badly in runoffs because African American turnout was down). Fearing Cleland would lose, the Georgia legislature abolished the runoff for the general in December of 1996 and simply declared Cleland elected.

Man, I remember that election.  I called it the neverending election.

According to the GA Secretary of State website, the vote total in the 1992 runoff was 1/3 of that in the general election.  I don't blame them for abolishing it in 1996, even though Millner, the GOP candidate, would have done a fine job as well.

This is one seat I'd like to see the GOP lose.  I still think it's atrocious what Shameless Chambliss did to Cleland in 2002.

We've re-established Cleland never legally won the seat, and yet it's Chambliss who's supposedly at fault.

He won legally. That is the purpose of changing the law.
The problem is to change the law during the electoral process. If I play to a game, I don't change the rules during the play for give me an advantage. That is called cheating, but that is legal, sadly.

Jones is unethical and would likely hurt Obama in the state.  Martin will do no harm.

Well I can't be doing with any of that; hopefully, Martin wins the run-off. He strikes me as being the stronger Democrat to go head to head with Chambliss even if he is a lock for re-election Sad

My earlier statement is more a reflection of the personal disdain I have for Jones

Oh, I see.  I thought you were supporting Jones.
