Second amendment, applemanat. Read it sometime.

You know, I'd actually prefer if you argued the case of gun right on it's merits. Shouting 'second amendement' isn't going to work.

Nothing wrong with people owning guns as long as it is restricted to sane and responsible people. A little background check before letting someone have a gun hurts no one and very possibly saves lives. But an outright ban on guns could also cost lives as people are unable to defend themselves. I really see this as more of a rural problem where it could easily take authorities up to 15 min to half an hour to respond to a call.
