Wow.  I wasn't expecting it to be quite that decisive.  That's a landslide.

Someone already entered this poll. You got the date wrong. It should be the 16th, not the 17th. So we have two identical polls in the database; one needs to be deleted.

I added it a while back with the correct date, so this thread should be deleted. IŽll write Dave an E-Mail so he can delete it.

But Maine is a targeted state by the McCain campaign!!! John McCain's unique appeal to independents and his bipartisan, straight-talk attitude will make swing states like Maine in play!!!

I do have a hard time believing in polls where a candidate is up 20%, unless it's a state like UT, ID, MD, HI, and such.

Keep in mind the state was about 11.5% more Dem than the national averae in 04, right now Obama appears to be up nationally by 5 or 6 points and Maine is trending Democratic.

Hm? This is slightly beyond "playing well" isn't? These are "proclaim Obama Godking of Maine" numbers.

Maine is the new reverse Nebraska, apparently.

Weird. I'd like to see more polls from Maine but it is beginning to look like a landslide Obama state. I would have expected Maine to be closer to 2004.

Keep in mind that Bush won in 04 nationally by 2.46%, and at this point Obaama is up nationally in the 5-6% range, so even without taking into consideration and trending your looking at a 16-17 or so point margin right there.
