I wasn't really into state politics until after 2000, but can anyone explain to me how Al Gore managed to win NJ by 16 pts in 2000?  Hell, if Nader wasn't running and he picks up those votes, he's a pt away from 60%! 

NJ's Democratic but it's not a state where the Dems usually get 60%.

My feeling on this issue is that reducing poverty and socioeconomic inequality while improving education and social services will do a lot more to reduce gun violence than gun control will.
