2.) Lincoln Chafee (2027-2033) continues Sanders' progressive agenda for a term-and-a-half, retiring gracefully at age 79 and passing the mantle of the Democratic Party onto a new generation of progressives, who were just kids when George W. Bush was in office. The GOP disbanded in 2021, and its base split to populate the ranks of the Libertarian Party (Rand Paul and the libertarians) and Constitution Party (Ted Cruz and the social conservatives).
