Ignore the blanked-out states. This map says they do not exist.

And why should we not ignore them?  They ignored everyone who couldn't make it out to their stupid ass caucuses.
Are you a Democrat? no so just shut up.

Since when has NH been a caucus state? No, it's just a bug in the 2004-era evcalc.

Obama only carried the U of SD county by 6%. It must be short of "bohemians."

It has a smaller non-student population than most uni counties do, and its outlaying areas are the sort of places that Clinton would play very well.

Still waiting for Shannon.  Sad

Todd as well.

Actually, I just noticed that the map has nothing to do with caucus vs primary states, it only appears that way at a quick glance.

Eitherway, Republicans run caucuses too, and I think they are bullsh**t regardless, but they are doubly bullsh**t for a candidate and a party that claims that it wants "everyone's voice to be heard".

Umm, did we cancel the debates?

Helena probably has too many  folks with advanced degrees working for low wages busy  throwing sand into the gears of commerce or something. They probably also grow pot plants in their sun rooms.

Obama doesn't need to debate anyone.  He is above them.

Missoula, at 54% reporting, is 92% Obama.  That can't be right, but I wish it were Tongue

For what it's worth, Hillary Clinton is still maintaining a consistent 12-point lead with nearly 50% of precincts reporting in South Dakota:

Hillary Clinton: 56%
Barack Obama: 44%

63% in -results unchanged.

68% in, and I think it is probably safe to say at this point that Hillary Clinton will be winning South Dakota by double digits.  Won't do her much good by this point, but hey, a win is a win.

For a "sermon" it was quite well done. Kudos to Obama. McCain needs to show a bit more passion I think given all of this. He needs to be locked up for about a month working on improving his use of the teleprompter and intonation modulation skills. Still, I think it was a bit too personal against McCain. But I'm biased.

Agreed....although he did get more animated than I have seen him in awhile the other night talking about Ahmadinejad. Now if he could do that passionate a speech on health care or global warming...

Obama really has to stop talking about:

1.  His state senate record.

2.  His years as a community activist.

It's the only thing he has ever done.  There are men almost half his age who have twice the experience.

It is odd that Hughes County in SD (Pierre) has more than twice  as many votes in the GOP primary as in the Dem one. What's up with that?

Maybe a local GOP primary election?

Closed primary...it can't be right.  And honestly Clinton winning there would surprise me.  I don't know a ton about Pierre, but based mostly on conjecture, I think most Dems there are probably state workers.

That's the kind of hard-edged political analysis you can expect from me!  Tongue

Missoula just adjusted its numbers...not the 92% Obama part, but the 52% reporting part.  It's now down to 1% reporting which, unless Missoula County now has like 200,000 voters, is also wrong.

One precinct in Chouteau County in, 46-43 Clinton.
