Why do I get this feeling that Hugo Chavez would beat McCain in New York for the US presidency?

I see NY's ceiling as being 60% like what Gore got in 2000. Part of me thinks McCain can get around 40% here when its all said and done, especially since his favorables aren't terribly wretched. But I don't know. Obama could very well get over 60%, and Hillary would've if she was the nominee.

I have a bet with a friend about Obama being +15 or higher over McCain in New York. It looks like it will happen.

Yet Hillary still beats Obama in the state. I think this should be a lesson to all of us that favorable ratings mean sh**t.

7% Other in the Obama/McCain match up? Hm...

Also, I wish Rasmussen and SUSA would stop polling states like NY and AL. We all know which way they're going to go.

Your friend is a dumb.

He thought that McCain was a "different kind of Republican" and would do much better in New York than previous Republican nominees.
