New Election:
1966 Missouri Referendum Special Election Results The One Man, One Vote decisions pretty much doomed the Missouri system of apportionment for the State House. The Missouri State House elected 106 members from districts containing one county. 9 counties recieved multiple members (57 members).
In 1966, Missouri elected their 163 members, including 100 members from the 9 counties which elected multiples before (those 9: Jackson, St. Louis County, St. Louis City, Buchanan, Boone, Jasper, Greene, and Clay)
So this map is a last gasp by a lot of counties to 'retain' some sort of sway. (I think every county north of the river other than Buchanan, Platte, Marion, Audrain, Ray, and Clay pretty much got merged with another county in their district)
So, here goes.
