I'd have supported Eisenhower.  Tart's isolationism doesn't make sense any more.  When Dirkson said to Dewey, who was pushing for Eisenhower, "We followed you before, and you took us down the path to defeat!" I'd have said, "Don't follow Dewey.  Follow Ike."
