We are more than a month away from Atlasia's next Presidential Election, so Mr. Flynn has decided that he will create a thread about it (well it is a Sunday morning and I am bored).

This thread, hopes to keep Atlasian citizens up to date with what's happening in the Presidential Election, who's running, who's not, etc.

Announced Candidates:

- Former SoEA Al Widdershins/??
- Justice Ernest/Senator Bacon King
- Midwest Lieutenant Governor Speed of Sound/??
- Mr. Moderate/??

Potential Candidates:

- President Keystone Phil
- Governor ilikeverin
- Former SoFA Lewis Trondheim
- Mr. G. Porter

That's it thus far. Now this leads me to your thoughts on the candidates and those who you think will be potential candidates.

Keystone Phil has hinted (albeit as a joke) that he would run for reelection. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Afleitch ran for a second term.

What does Afleitch's Senate prospects have to do with this thread?

as president, he probably meant.

When last I checked, Afleitch wasn't President of Atlasia.  So I assumed he was referring to Afleitch running for another term in the Senate.

I was referring to him running for President. He was president prior to Colin taking over.

Of these candidates, there is not a single good Progressive choice; very unfortunate.

I've never much thought of him as a Progressive.

Out of those, I'd vote Ernest.

I'll go Phil unless he decides not to run in which I'd choose Ernest

The election is still quite a way away (it isn't even May yet). Not only is it not yet certain who the candidates will be, but it is not yet certain what even the declared candidates will run on. Watch this space for the latter.

Well.

Not quite "this" space.

There's still alot of time left. Ernest could be a good president though, and of course I would be fully supportive of Jas trying for the position again.

That would have a really good chance of getting my endorsement.

If ilikeverin were to be elected President or Vice President, would he remain Governor of the Midwest?

Don't think there's a law against it.

You can't twin-track here. I'm too tired to check whether it's actually in the constitution or is an unwritten convention. For what that's worth.
