weird. So there's only like a 10 point partisan difference between CA and IN when there was a 30 point one in 2004?

The only important thing I´ve noticed is the fact that McCain suxx in states where Obama actively campaigns/capaigned. In North Carolina they are tied, in Indiana Obama is doing 200% better than John Kerry in 2004 and even in PA most polls show him ahead of McCain, except Strategic Vision - R. Even in Ohio polls he led McCain by a couple of points during the last week before the primary. And in Texas McCain was just slightly ahead back then ...

This could simply mean that much of the country is at least open, at this moment, to either side. In fact, if you want to tabulate all the states that have been shown to be flipping or tied or really close (under 5 points) in at least 1 poll, you get this-
