Not a state where I'd have expected Obama to do twice as well, but whatever.

Just indicates to me that Hillary has pissed off southern Blacks. 10% for McCain seems reasonable against both of them, but some black respondents are looking for a way to vent frustration against Clinton.

I wonder if they polled the Senate race as well.

I thought LA was going to be brutal for Obama, this isn't too bad.

Perhaps after electing Governor Jindal the people of Louisiana are less racist.

Louisiana is part of the deep south, which is trash. It isn't part of the more enlightened upper south.  That is why Obama does better then Shrillary in Louisiana. OKAY?

I never thought I'd see someone put the words "more enlightened upper south" in a sentence, but here it is...

That's very, very odd. I'd have expected the margins to be switched between Clinton and Obama.

I'm surprised.  I'd have expected Hillary to do 3-5 points better than Obama.

Maybe the state didn't lose as many blacks as people seem to think.  Also, I think the election of Jindall is relevant as far as how racist the state is.

Looking like a number of states "more enlightened upper south" (AR, OK, KY, TN and WV) could be more brutal for Obama than those in the Deep South (perhaps, save AL, which hasn't as many African-Americans as SC, GA, MS and LA)

Obama runs stronger in DE, MD, NC and VA; Clinton runs stronger in MO and FL, but neither will be brutal for Obama. Not sure about TX, either Democrat could be on par there
