New map:

General TN2024, it is your turn.  You have 6 reinforcements.

+ [13 states ÷ 3 = 4 reinforcements]
+ [New England region = 2 reinforcements]
= 6 reinforcements

I posted orders moments ago, but I've reconsidered...

After doing the math, I'm going to try (and probably fail) to gain a 1/2 man advantage from what I was going to do so....

All in OH, attack WV, VA, NC, SC, GA, FL, just until I can't attack any more, then wait.

Ok then, that went pretty well, we will see if it's enough.

So attack from NY, to NJ and DE, if I knock MM out, please update me on what I've plundered if anything, then I will need to ask for clarification on something.

You can only turn in cards when your next move begins. If that was what you wanted to ask.

I disagree, We will have to wait for word from Joe on this, I have played both ways, some people insist that whenever you have a certain number of cards, you must trade them in ASAP, and we're using a mix of rules, so I'm not sure what's what at the moment.

I asked that a few pages back. You have to wait until the start of your next turn.

That handles that problem then, its no big deal for me, the possibility of trying to find a place to defend vs. probably getting to counter attack where I want and as you all can see I enjoy being effective in an unorthodox way.

I know that, that's why I told you what the rule is here. Sorry for not making that clearer. Smiley

Well barring anything strange, I'd like to carry out the orders above, then take the Troops remaining in DE and split them between PA and DE, if there is an uneven number, place the extra in PA. End Turn

And God bless the defensive for the rest of the round.

To clarify an earlier point, when a player destroys another, the cards belonging to the destroyed player are handed to the conqueror after their turn is over, and no earlier.  If the conqueror then has five or more cards, then as many sets as necessary must be traded in at the start of their next turn (again, no earlier).

Well, I'd like to uneventfully place all of it in Washington, attack Idaho do or die, given that I've conquered Idaho, tactical move 2 armies from California to Oregon and then end turn, thank you very much.

If I were you, I would have established myself along the Idaho, Utah, and Arizona line, with forces equally distributed in each of the three states.

I'd like to hear thoughts on this game, quite a unique situation.

Gustaf is going to be a conservative card creeper and win.

Gustaf certainly has played his position right, and gotten a HUGE break from Josh, who was forced to dump his resources into sopping the inevitibility of Verily. I find it interesting that the game has taken on a "Fight the Power" kind of mood....whenevr someone tries to really break out, its amazing how unified the other powers become....perhaps mention of Gustaf's game will lead to a turning of the unified guns?

Now, now... Wink

Frodo, while I don't like to publicly discuss my tactics in an ongoing game there are reasons for everything I do. Smiley

I would say TN has a leg up right now but the game is definitely looking interesting. But as I said, I try to refrain from commenting like that on games that are going on (at least when I'm in them...)

A couple problems, my only states with force are not going to be able to attack probably for the remainder of the game unless its Gustaf coming to finish me. I don't think I'm tooting my own horn when I say I was quite skilled in taking control of the east against two other players who were working side by side. There's not much to stop Gustaf from winning though, I can't reach him, and Josh was doing him a favor when he conquered all that western land.

Well, holding two regions and those extra risk cards certainly makes TN's position pretty good.

Indeed. Perhaps we are looming before the ultimate showdown of ultimate destiny between Gustaf and Mr. Rogers TN?
