And although I haven't verified this yet, the NY Post seemed to imply in its story today (which may be true or not), that the investigation of these odd transfers is what caused the Feds to uncover the hooker ring to begin with.  If true, that means Spitzer brought this all on himself.

I think the last statement is very true.

I really wouldn't care that much about about if Spitzer uses prostitutes, if he hadn't been hypocritical about it (think Vitter).  You also have violations of federal law; that takes it up a level.

I also don't care if he violated the law, federal or not, lots of laws are stupid and I don't hold anyone in lesser regard for not following them. My brother violates federal law almost every day and is arguably engaging in money laundering too.

It was positive before the revelations, but is now very negative. It's not his personal life - he had been involved in the breaking of other prostitution rings.

It's possibly getting even worse - the NY Post is reporting that he's used hookers for the past 6 years and possibly for over a decade, using them at the same time he was shutting down the prostitution rings.

Of course, it's the NY Post - caveat emptor.

Of course he's right. If this guy somehow survives this (which he has next to zero chance of doing), he would not seek re-election and if he was crazy enough to do so, he'd get squashed. Schumer would finally get his chance.
