So Obama got a North Dakota-esque win in the end.

If that's due to mining that explains it as North Dakota has a lot of mining too. Anywhere west of Bismarck-Mandan that isn't agrian (OK, might as well just say Williston and Dickinson) is blue collar either in the oil refining/drilling or mining. Makes me mad they didn't release county results.

As I said earlier in the thread, Clinton won all of the mining areas while Obama won the farming areas and the liberal areas.

I'm referring to North Dakota's county results.

Comfortable, educated service industry employees like Obama.  Ski bunnies mostly vote at home.  Smiley

Actually, I came up with this map a while back, based on the North Dakota Democratic Party's website:

Apparently no caucuses were held in the white counties.

Ah cool. Thanks.

Looks like Obama landslided among the Sioux and didn't have that much trouble with the counties where only old people live and the blue collar areas. Of course it was a caucus*...

Clinton did better in Mandan than Dickinson? That's interesting.

*Technically it was one of those "firehouse primaries" although with that few polling places it basically ends up the same way. People in outer Burleigh County would've had to driven around 20 miles to vote, some as much as 40.

i turned over to msnbc for some results.

fortunately for me they had already switched over to their 'crime time in primetime' programming.

i was able to miss a sickening display of bias and giddiness.

We learn from you Sam, the master of pro Hilldawg spin.

Anyway, I was happy to see I came within a point of predicting the actual vote total tonight. (62%-38%) Yay for my obviously highly, highly scientific analysis.
