In the primary last month my polling place had votes from 869 of 2000 registered voters (43%). Today at 11 am 209 had cast votes, so turnout looks like it would be about half that of the primary.

Good or bad for Oberweis?

Also, where can we find results? The Board of Elections site doesn't look to helpful.

Online the Sun-Times has always seemed to be good, but CNN also claims they're going to have coverage (unless you're one of those conservatives who can't stand CNN on principle Tongue)

I always watch CNN. It's FOX that I can't stand. Yes, that's right.

The Sun-Times will have results, and kept up well during the primary last month. They also own the Aurora Beacon News which covers the largest city in the district, and they will be live-blogging the results.

The Kane County Clerk will have its results as well as links to the the other jurisdictions tabulating results in the 14th. I'll mostly be watching that so I can interpret the areas that are coming in.

Obama also cut a "closer" ad for Foster. If Foster wins, Democrats pick up a House seat and Obama gains a superdelegate.

No superdelegate is at stake here.  The superdelegates who got their credentials from their office had to be in office on March 1.  Foster could go as an add-on, but he'd just be displacing another Obama delegate.
Are you sure about that? Wouldn't Foster replace Lantos as the 795th superdelegate?

Agreed. However, I absolutely hate Pat Buchanan and Chris Matthews to some extent.

FROM OBERWEIS HEADQUARTERS:

Kane County has posted what looks like the early-voting totals: 3,549 for Oberweis, 2,755 for Foster. No precincts reporting, so it looks like early voting.

Does anyone know which Kane precincts are reporting first? According to the CNN 2006 results page, Hastert won 59% in Kane, 1% below his overall performance.

This is close, since the city of Aurora has a separate election commission and its heavily Dem.

Oberweis's lead is now seven points with 9 precincts in.

Edit: Actually, that may be just in Kane County.

Folks, if it's showing 223 precincts, that can only be Kane County.  There's 568 precincts total.

If it's only Kane County outside of Aurora than Foster shouldn't be too worried.

Thanks for the info.

 Foster's currently running 6% better than Laesch's 2006 performance.
