The election is done.
Hillary winning now would just drag it out, unless she won 60-40.
Hillary's best chance is to throw everything she can at the existing dynamics of the race, which would mean going full out negative, but I don't think she wants to win so bad that she would destroy the Democrats' chances in November to maximize her chances.

I actually think the Republicans will go far more negative on Obama than anything he has seen yet.

If she does sabotage Obama's chances in November, she may come back in 2012. It depends on how badly she wants to be President.

And you're right, the Republicans will do very negative. Obama hasn't seen very much negativity from the Clinton's. They could've been far worse, but every time they attacked Obama, the far-left cried foul and called them racist.

I would emphasize the need for a stronger, more secure America because the next crisis is only a moment away.  I would question whether an inexperienced, cigarette-smoking, cocaine-sniffing, cannabis-consuming Senator (who has been caught plagiarizing) who went to a Muslim school in Indonesia and whose parents were atheists would be loyal enough to America to defend it from terrorists, let alone wear a flag lapel pin.

I would tend to agree, and I guarantee that this will be a lot of what the GOP will use in November, among other things ..

But that will draw a lot of fired around on these forums.

I think that's pretty much right on. But if I were McCain, I'd rely on some Swift Boat group to hammer these points so I can focus on leadership and experience. The change-vs-experience theme does work; unfortunately it won't work for Hillary right now when the Obama hype is in full swing.

Perhaps Clinton could play up the alleged gay relationship Obama had while in college, calling into question that if he was going to have a gay affair why he didn't have better taste, thereby calling into question his sense of judgment.

Hillary's roommate at Wellesley was an open and out lesbian, just FYI.

Plus there's a much greater percentage of people in the GE who value experience over change than in the Democratic party.

Wellesley is more of the posh and snooty women's college. The lesbian jokes belong with Smith, for example.

In the 1960s a lot of prestigious colleges didn't admit women so going to Wellesley would not be the same as going there today.

same here. I've actually been over there a few times and the lesbianism is pretty pervasive, even though a majority of the girls aren't.
