Excuse me, but did Obama actually say that we are forced to rely on captured Taliban weapons and ammunition to supply our troops in Afganistan?  There's been enough bullsh**t thrown around by the Hildabeast side over the last couple of month.  Barack doesn't need to be adding to it.   The military is going to be all over that statement and I don't think the public is gonna buy that for a second.  Keep it credible buddy.

He mentioned a specific instance of a rifle group or something like that that was undermanned due to the Iraq war, and basically they didn't have the men to carry the amount of supplies/ammunition they normally would have been able to, which forced them to rely on captured supplies for at least some period of time.

...and this wouldn't be the only time this happened in the armed forces. You saw alot of Americans using Mausers in WWII.

Mausers weren't 40 yrs out of date.

I caught this too, and it sounds like bull. Could be a big, big story.

That's right. Trying to make a story out of this when the McCain story didn't work will show a right-wing media bias.

No, he said it was easier to capture weapons and ammunition from the Taliban than get it from our side.  I'm going back and checking when the transcript is posted.  He said this separate and after the reference to the rifle company.  Funny, we've had tons of Senators and Congressmen make trips to the war zone and I've never once heard anything even remotely indicating a shortage of equipment in Afghanistan.  Certainly nothing as screwy as that statement.

I only caught the last 30 minutes of the debate.  For that period only, Hillary won.  Quite clearly.  The closing from her was excellent.

Does this affect anything?  Who knows...

Hey, I've rooted for Obama all along.  Maybe it's a little thing, but I hate seeing him throw around BS.  There's enough coming from Clinton.

There's obviously no hope for McCain, Obama landslide.

Great color. I want it on the front doors of a French Tudor triplex I own. The Stucco is gray. I wonder what the formula is.

It is not maroon. That has more purple in it. Carmine is apparently it.

I was at the debate tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cheesy Cheesy   it was an amazing experience.

I think both candidates were pretty even most of the debate. I would have called it almost a tie... until Hillary's close. That was one of the best closing statements I've heard. For a moment it looked as if she was saying goodbye to the campaign, but the overall effect was kind of a booster. People started clapping before she finished and when she did there was an instantaneous standing ovation... even Obama people - his face was priceless as well.

My impression at the end was: hmm... an Obama/Clinton ticket? before this debate I would have say absolutely no way. Now I don't think it such a weird idea.
