Thursday, February 21st at 8 PM - CNN debate.

Is this one of Hillary's last chances to save her campaign?

I think her performance tomorrow night will ultimately determine how she'll do in Texas and Ohio. This is it, Hillary.

Isn't there a second debate between now and the Super Tuesday Mk. II primaries? I'd say that second one would be more important.

Maybe, maybe not. In my opinion, she's finished. It doesn't matter what she says. She's won almost all of the debates versus Obama, as he's performed mediocrely in all of the debates, and it has really done nothing for her.

In reality, debates matter very little when it comes to elections.

I really hope Obama can actually do decent for a change. I cringe whenever he does the "uh uh uh"

Does she have any other choice but to go after him?

But if she does an excellent job, that's all the media will be talking about. Here's hoping for an Obama gaffe.  Wink

Yes, there's another debate next week Tuesday on MSNBC.

I'm considerably wary of the upcoming debate. We will finally find out how desperately Hillary wants this thing and how she'll behave accordingly now that she is in dire straits.

Yes. See 2004.

anyway, I think Hillary is too far gone for a debate to save her.

Are you being sarcastic? Because the debates in 2004 were very important...

If they were very important, Kerry would've won the election. He destroyed Bush in the first debate, and won the last two as well.

Before the first debate, Bush was leading Kerry by some 10 points and Kerry's campaign was in free-fall. After his strong performance in the first debate, and Bush's comparatively weak performance, the race became a toss-up again.

Bush may be one of the worst debaters in U.S. political history.  But that could be because he has an intellect somewhere between that of Beavis and Homer Simpson.

Because all of the chatter after the debate was about Bush being fed answers. That didn't have anything to do with the debate at all, and everything to do with presentation.

As far as I remember, no one really talked about the bump in Bush's jacket, and it didn't really get anywhere. Kerry gained because he debated well, and Bush's performance was miserable.

Yeah -- I also don't remember the Bush jacket thing getting much traction at all.

Clinton's clearly the stronger debater than Obama, who really needs to improve his debating skills, especially if he is to be the Democratic presidential nominee going againt McCain

That said, McCain isn't a strong debater; even so if only Obama's debating skills were just half as good as oratory ... Smiley

I'm worried. I like how the campaign dynamic is now. A debate can change that dynamic.
