Is the town of Liberal in Kansas actually liberal politically?

I'm quite sure its not, but I want to check.

The best way I could answer this is by looking at Seward County, where 87% of its population live in Liberal.  The county voted 78.5% for Bush in 2004, 75.9% for Bush in 2000, and 68.4% for Dole in 1996.

So I guess the answer is no.  Smiley

2000 results in Liberal City: Bush 74.8%, Gore 23.2%. Seward county has voted Republican in every election from 1940 onwards (and the only exceptions before then were 1932-1936 and 1912-1916).

LOL, no unless it was one of those communities that was spefically designed to be a place for liberals. But I just looked at the results of elections held there, and it seems they vote overwhelmingly Republican. How did you find out about this?
