Kerala Christians really isn't a type of Christian, but simply any Christian who lives in Kerala. The ones you are speaking about are called the St. Thomas Christians. I don't know too much about fractions, but there are two groups, both Catholic.

At least three (that I know of), not all of them Catholic. Not counting their descendants in the Anglican and Roman Catholic church, even though local Anglican and Roman Catholic rite is also Thomas Christian influenced.
Not a topic worth a major debate, though, don't you agree?
