I have the storyboard for a perfect 30 second tv spot for the fall campaign.

First a large picure of John McCain.

The both print on screen and voice over (audio tape would be nice if available) of McCain's statement to the building trades union leadership a couple of years ago that Americans wouldn't work for $50 to pick lettuce in Arizona.

Followed by a voice over (anncr), "and he really believes thzt Americans are so lazy that they won't pick lettuce for $50 an hour."

Fade to black

Incisive.  Who needs Karl when you have Carl?

Get Wilfred Brimley for the voice.  That gentle, familiar, Western twang plays well in battleground states.

Oh, and in case you don't know who Wilfred Brimley is:

Except Brimley's already endorsed McCain.  (It's his answer to Chuck Norris)

D'oh.

Wow.  I wonder, between all the endorsements--Quaker Oats, Liberty Mutual, and now John McCain--how does that old guy even have the time or energy to do all that horseback riding, dancing, and swimming?
