The Texas Democratic Party delegate apportionment is based on the 31 state senate districts.  I was listening to Dan Patrick on the radio who is a state senator from the Houston area and also a Houston area radio personality.  He was giving some analysis on the Texas primary.  Very interesting.

He said that due to the fact that Democratic delegates are alloted from senate districts based on turnout in the 04 and 06 elections, the winner of the three black majority districts in inner city Houston and Dallas will garner as many delegates as the winner of the 6 majority Hispanic districts of south Texas.  That is because the last two election cycles have seen the black turnout in those two district roughly double the Hispanic turnout in the 6 Hispanic districts.

In other words, the delegate allotment will be severely skewed towards Obama's strength.  As if Hillary didn't have enough problems in Texas.  For the last three days Hillary has been riding around South Texas practically wearing a sombrero.  Very funny watching her pander.  I'll be glad when the Texas primary is over and we'll never have to see her in the state again, including the general since we haven't had a Democratic nominee campaign in Texas since Carter.

Good for Obama, bad for Clinton.
