LMAO. This is the best yet from a Hillary hack: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x4580540

Obama wants to up the cap on Social Security taxes. This only affects those making over $100k a year. The poor and middle class won't pay a dime more. And somehow this benefits the wealthy. LMAO.

And also please note, the people affected by this overwhelmingly favor Obama. So eve those affected don't care apparentely.

On a side note, DU had a mass purge yesterday, with dozens of Hillary hacks taken out. Many of these were people the Obamaites had been targeting for a long time trying to get banned (usually by alerting every single one of their posts), so this is a huge victory for us.

Yes, it's a huge victory that Obamaites, the people who are supporting the candidate of change, desire to purge a supposedly Democratic forum of people who support a different Democrat. Clearly they have the moral high ground.

Uh, take a look at the type of tripe Hillary hacks are posting in that link above. Wouldn't you be happy to get rid of people posting that type of crap?

Also I think 1 or 2 Obama supporters were banned too, one was suspended for a week (a particularly obnoxious one obviously, but I love her Smiley) It's funny, the Obama people are starting to act like the Dean people who I found so annoying in 2004, but this time I love them rather than be annoyed by them.

Well, the campaign's definitely over then. Hooray for the first amendment! Tongue

As to criticism of social security plans, Hillary has basically said she thinks economic growth will take care of social security. This means good market returns and that investors will outpace those depending on social security. In other words, she has no plan. MSNBC pundits were basically saying she punted on social security so as not to be attacked for big spending in the general. Yeah, leaving it to economic growth has been so great for the poor so far...

First Amendment:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

What does people being banned on an internet forum have to do with that?

I don't like a few hacks on this board, but I don't call for them to be banned. So long as someone isn't overtly attacking other users in an inappropriate way or something like that I see no reason to ban them just because they are hacks. If you want a free discussion, then you risk hacks joining in - if you can't take the heat then get out of the kitchen.

People being banned because they simply stated something you and others didn't like. You hate free speech unless they agree with you.

They didn't get banned for simply supporting Hillary, but being rather obnoxious hacks. As I pointed out, a handful of Obama supporters were banned to (of course the ratio is WAY slanted toward Hillary supporters being banned but that's not the point)

This forum is different from DU. For starters we actually allow non-Democrats, which DU doesn't.

Uh, great comparison. So DU is more of a...hack forum, right? Why ban hacks there but not here?

You are clueless, chief.

What does that have to do with it? You're still an obnoxious hack - that means it's alright to get you banned, right?

DU's rules are much stricter. For example here we are still allowed to talk about Straha, Stark, jamespol, etc. On DU that's not allowed as all discussion of banned members is strictly prohibited.

But still...if DU is a hack forum, why would you be banned for being a hack?

So DU is a forum that is run by obnoxious hacks who don't allow obnoxious hacks to be in the forum. You bother to go there for what reason? Oh yeah, you're an obnoxious hack.

Based on it's regular banning of people who don't agree with the current regime that rules there, it is a hack forum.

Unfortunately the Obama movement has an extremist side to it.  Kool-Aid drinkers who flip out if you even raise a question about the man's positions.  Now we see BRTD happy about people being banned from DU for supporting Hillary over Obama.  Wow.  They have become liberal versions of the Bush followers.

I hope you aren't contending that this is exclusive to Obama/Bush.  Nearly every candidate will have this sort of faction following it.

For example, look at the Clinton supporters who are trying to get Michigan and Florida to count.  That's just ridiculous.
