Totally different types of white voters. NOVA whites are not like the white union members of PA and OH, that's for sure.

of course not, but are southcentral and southern VA whites similar to those in the Pitt suburbs and T, at all?

Eh, I guess so. Then again, remember that PA has a lot of seniors in those areas and we know who they want. A plus for Obama - SE PA is like NOVA so he should do well in Montco and Bucks.

The union whites here voted for Obama by a large margin.  Surely northern Minnesota union whites have more in common with Ohio union whites than with NOVA whites.

southern VA whites are probably more racist than PA & OH whites

Obama won the 60+ demographic in VA 52-48

He lost whites in that age range 61-39; he only won it because there was a fair number of elderly blacks who voted for him overwhelmingly.

He does not need 49% though.  What is the number to win those states, low 40s%?  Then what would be the numbers to lose close enough to stay tight in the delegate race?

He is making it look like he can pull enough to win the war.
