Helping I think. If McCain wins in November im sure theres going to be a spot in his Administration reserved for Huckabee. Also when Huckabee started his Presidential Bid, nobody even knew who he was and what state he was from. Now hes a household name, and thats going to help him in later elections if he decides to run.

The only reason he's staying in is to build the groundwork for a 2012 run.

Look for Huckabee and Romney to continue their epic battle all the way until 2012.  It's all but inevitable.

Agreed. I think that if a Democrat wins the White House this election, chances are the leaders of the GOP will throw their weight behind Romney. If McCain wins this election, then this is a moot argument (unless something of a very unusual and unforeseen nature occurs during his term).

It feels weird not having Romney plastered all over the internet and news networks now. Same goes for Giuliani and Edwards.

They may be the early front-runners in 2012, but look for that to change in Jeb, Mark Sanford, etc... declare.

Jeb and Dubya have very different styles, and even different accents. Smiley

Nevertheless, do you actually see him winning in a general election?

Sure. Obviously it depends on events and circumstances. Jeb just doesn't remind one of Dubya much. How history might have been different if Jeb had bagged Chiles in his first race for Florida governor. Then he rather than Dubya, would have been the senior governor.
