No, it is not a parody. It is not a joke. It is just incredibly, mindblowingly, bad. I just thought I'd share, for either the laughs or the groans (or both) that should accompany this.

It's not really a "campaign ad", it's not going to be played on TV anywhere. I think it's strictly for YouTube.

Maybe, but it's still unbelievably and mind-numbingly bad.

I encourage her to run this as a TV ad in every state. Tongue

That's still a campaign ad, just not a TV campaign ad. You're thinking in pre-Youtube terms Tongue

What I find especially funny are all of the obviously planted comments praising the ad, and her, filling the comments section.

I've had the opportunity to say this before, but either she has an incredible sense of humour or is completely devoid of it.

Actually beginnign to wonder if it could be the first at this stage.

Same thing for her "Christmas Presents" ad.

It can only be the first if she finds amusement in the irony of paying for things to intentionally harm her campaign. (Not that this will do her much, if any, harm, given that it's just online, but still.)

Her "Christmas Presents" ad was actually much worse since it was actually shown on TV (and has made for some rather amusing parodies).

Ummm, even for a "made for YouTube" ad, it was pretty stupid.

A youtube ad like that will not affect anyone's vote. It's a complete non-factor in terms of actual outcomes. Also it probably didn't cost much. But it could be an ironic jab at the non-coolness of her campaign, indicating an incredible sense of humour. If, on the other hand, she is completely unaware of this it would show a complete lack of humour.

I encourage the Clinton campaign to continue to waste its meager amounts of cash on futile attempts at reaching out to the youth vote.

You know, if Obama ran the same ad, we would have tons of posters being like "LOL!  Greatest campaign ad ever!" and then running to the bathroom to clean up.

It made me laugh.  Seriously.  It wasn't bad.  In fact . . . I would say . . . shock . . . it's good.

You people need to stop drinking the Obama-aid, and maybe go to a counselor to learn about cult tactics.

Cult member to children's assembly: Our Dear Leader, Ronald Reagan, ended the cold war singlehandedly, cured the AIDS, stopped the evil air traffickers union, and helped invent the internets.

Kid to Cult member: But didn't Reagan also raise taxes, sign an amnesty bill, allow hundreds of Marines to die in Lebanon, ignore the Ozone hole, oversee disastrous drug wars in Central America, and initiate an arms deal with our sworn enemies in Tehran?

Cult member: Quiet, you.

You could make the same joke about any former President's base.

I like how on an interview earlier today, Clinton made the claim that Obama wouldnt be suitable in a GE Campaign because "hes never experienced a negative ad or a negative campaign against him." and also saying that "This campaign so far has been very civil compared to what a GE campaign would be like..."
