This is getting old. Is she really that unstable or just that manipulative? Either way it's not fitting for a Presidential Candidate.

Don't people see through this anymore?

Right now this is becoming so blatantly obvious it hurts her every time.

Yeah, the reflexive supporter hatchet jobs at every turn from all sides just do not give me much of a rise at this point.

If she keeps doing it, then her consultants must think it's a good idea.

she wouldn't keep doing it if it wasn't getting good poll and focus group results.

Hillary is making it more socially acceptable for men to cry in public.

Fool me once, shame on... shame on... you.  You get fooled, you can't get fooled again.

In all seriousness though, does anyone else think that this might raise some serious lingering doubts in people's minds regarding whether or not a female is emotionally capable to be the president?  Once is a kind display of emotion; if this goes on any longer, however, it's going to start looking more and more like Hillary is emotionally fragile.

LOL!  You did not get the talking points memo that Hillary-tears are no longer to be trumpeted as a sign of female weakness but rather a sign of conniving and dastardly political manipulation.  Where do you come from, 2007?  Smiley

Oh, I'm not discounting the possibility that this is a political ploy (in fact, I'm finding that more and more likely), but I still think that if Hillary is shown crying week after week it could rather raise some questions in voters' minds about her emotional stability.

That was what the pundits said the first time she cried. And she surged in New Hampshire because OMG SEXISM.

Well I disagreed with the pundits there too.  At the time I was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt and just write it off as a display of humanity.

But this is, what, the third time she's cried now?  I'm sure quickly losing my ability to give her the benefit of the doubt, and I have to wonder if voters aren't much like me in that respect.

If it were Obama crying 3 times this forum would be lighting up about how human and connected to America he is.

Exactly. She was listening to a disabled U.S. veteran in the audience tell his story.

no we wouldn't. we'd be making fun of him for being a girly-man, even those of us who support him.

You're too smart to believe that Hillary's tears are genuine: they're clearly calculated to appear at opportune moments in order to connect with middle class women who feel themselves to be victims of sexism.

The really sick thing about this is that by playing into sexist stereotypes, Hillary Clinton is actually propagating an increase in previously closeted sexism among men and women across America.

If this woman actually cared about feminism, she would be reminding voters that women are just as capable to hold the job of President as men are.  Not feeding into silly voter ploys.

You're too smart to believe that Hillary's tears are genuine: they're clearly calculated to appear at opportune moments in order to connect with working class women who feel themselves to be victims of sexism.

What can't men cry without being called girly men? What's wrong with being 'girly' anyway? I am so sick of politicians' faux toughness or real toughness that is shown in a lack of compassion and over-aggressiveness in foreign policy. And the societal values that underpin those stereotypes.

I wouldn't care about Hillary crying if it hadn't been used to help her in New Hampshire.

Yes, but a different standard is applied to madmen.

As for Clinton, this stuff will work with her female voters no matter how many times she does it.  Have you ever seen women's TV?
