Discussion of Feb. 9th Democratic primary & caucus results here.

WA, NE, and LA results shouldn't come out until later today.  But there's also a Democratic convention in the Virgin Islands to select delegates there.  Does anyone have any idea when in the day that's supposed to happen?

Louisiana: I believe the polls close at 8pm local time, which would be 9pm Eastern time.

Nebraska: Every county is different in terms of when they caucus.  Some have already started caucusing, but some don't start until 7pm Eastern.  I don't know if results will start trickling out throughout the day, or if we'll have to wait until tonight.

Washington: Caucuses begin at 1pm Pacific / 4pm Eastern.  Don't know when they'll release results, but most caucus states have started releasing a few results about 1h30m - 2 hours after the caucus starts.

Virgin Islands: No idea.

Nebraska-Strong turnout in the caucuses so far. Obama is seeming to be beating Clinton by a 2 to 1 margin in some area's according to some that have already caucused.

Make that 3-1.

Some caucus sites have been overwhelmed. Caucusing at one middle school had to be moved to the parking lot because the gym was overflowing.

NO!!!

My precinct was only 75% Obama!! HITLERY GOT A DELEGATE!! NOOOOO.

I gave a long speech about why Obama was the best, but nobody changed their mind (although all the Obama people clapped for me).

Ugh! Clintonistas. Disgusting.

Some girl reeking of weed came in at the last minute. She was a Clintonista. Ugh!

Anyway, it's an almost exclusively college student precinct, so 75% really is pretty awful.

Just came back from caucus. I live in a small precinct and we had 24 people show up. Other precincts had 40-50 people, and the school we were at had hundreds. The multi-purpose room was packed, so they moved half the people to the gym. It was crazy, but overwhelmingly Obama. Our precinct only had 3 Clinton, and we ended up choosing all our delegates for Obama.

Obama landslide!

Many Clintonistor's among that 25% or not?

Blacks were close to half the Democratic electorate

So much for Obama having problems in Louisiana.

Sounds like Obama will win Louisiana by about 10 points, unless blacks act differently than they have before.

I'm so jealous! We had some Clintonista-bitch defending the War in Iraq because of 9/11 and going on about how much she hates Barack Obama.

We only had 16 people, and 4 of them were Clintonistas. I'm really upset.

Anyway, I was the tally clerk. I got to count the votes, haha. I'm also an alternate delegate. I could've been a normal delegate but I didn't really want to be. Smiley

Dem Hawk--- 3 girls and 1 guy for Clinton.

Maybe more, if whites vote like they did in GA Wink rather than AL

Dave

The whites in LA are more like the whites in AL, if not more racist.  Smiley

3-1 for Obama in nine precincts in Seattle in the caucuses. It involved about a 1,000 people.
