Romney is now complaining about losing WV.  He couldn't just lose gracefully.

Like I said in the Dem. thread, I'm very suspicious about exit polls leaked before 5pm being real.

Id be kinda pissed too if someone were to do that to me what McCain did to him. Though it doesnt matter anyways, thats politics for ya.

They also got Paul supporters over as well so I guess nobody likes him. Tongue

And I'm happy, Romney doesn't need to win anything. Smiley

Woohoo!  I hate Huckabee, but at least it keeps the race in play.  No coronation of McCain yet.

This was a McCain victory because it was his supporters who gravitated over to Huckabee to prevent a Romney win.

Strategically, yes.  To the unsophisticated observer, McCain finished 3rd, and Huckabee is emboldened.  Most Americans are unsophisticated observers.
While to the sophisticated observer, McCain still finished 3rd, but Huckabee wasn't emboldened at all, since he lost to Romney in what should really be one of his most natural states.

He didn't lose to Romney.  All of the press is saying "Huckabee wins WV".
Yeah, that's why I said "sophisticated".

Ah, you're right.  I misread what you said.  Agreed.

National Review's Campaign Spot is a good place for exit poll leaks, and it's now after 5pm, so leaks are more likely to be legit.  First bit of news:

None of this gets McCain off his game much if these numbers are true.  The big items on the negative side for McCain are 1) winner take all Missouri is tight, and 2) McCain might not get the 30 winner take all delegates from Georgia, and 3) winner take all Arizona is vaguely in play.

On the other side on the coin, it does not look like the Mitt surge in California is panning out (McCain was up 6% among absentees in the Surveyusa poll), and so if this holds, McCain looks good to go for two thirds to three quarters of the California delegates.

Some of those numbers look way off.  Romney was running third in MO and I don't believe McCain in only up be five in AZ.
