Is it possible that we could see this switch to a McCain vs. Huckabee contest after tonight?

If Romney loses CA, yes.  I think only TX, VA and MS are the southern states still out.

I would hope so. Romney needs to give it up. He can't win any state that isn't his home state or has a lot of Mormons.

He has quite a lead here!

There is always an exception or two to the rule.  But by and large, Romney cannot win states where he either doesn't have a personal connection, or where there isn't a significant population of resident Mormons.  That has been the pattern throughout his campaign.  That's why his campaign has stayed alive as long as it has.  Had he not won Michigan, this would be a nail-biter between McCain and Huckabee.

Yes.

Please God.

This would be the only chance for the anti-McCain crowd (especially if he directs his delegates to Huckabee). But it might be too late.

Hmm, Mitt makes a good point. The chances of a brokered GOP convention have gone up.

But why would Romney want to force Huckabee as Mac's running mate? Does he want to be Vice-Presidential Chief of Staff?

So Mitt is busy spinning how he did tonight but his facial expressions aren't convincing. Same with Ann.

With 77% of the vote reported in Tennessee, Huckabee is holding on to a slender lead over McCain:

Huckabee: 34%
McCain: 32%
Romney: 23%
Paul: 6%
------------------------------

They might as well call this state for Huckabee as well.

McCain could wrap it up by next week.

Romney's party sounds like a Nazi rally with the "We haven't" chants.

And in case anyone wants to know:

With 82% of the vote reported in Georgia...

Huckabee: 35%
McCain: 31%
Romney: 30%
Paul: 3%
-------------------------------------

And they're still not calling this state for Huckabee yet?

While I agree that Romney is a Fascist, I don't think that having speeches in the same model as Hitlers but without the content is a bad thing. He was one of the most evil people ever, but you cannot deny he was a great orator, that spoke about all the wrong things.
