McCain/Huckabee '08............this would pretty much give Hillary or Barack a win automatically.

What are you looking at?  Romney had a slim two point lead over Huckabee last time I looked.  Tongue

Nevermind - it changed

Any why doesn't CNN call Georgia for Huckabee and Oklahoma for McCain already?

Many Republicans would be upset with that ticket.

Edit:  Then again, many Republicans would be upset with any combination.

Uh, no way. Hillary and Obama would never have an automatic win. Add to that the fact that a running mate would never make the opposition guaranteed victors.

I would...I like Huckabee as a person...but not his politics...and to say the least...I'd be very disturbed...

I seriously doubt any significant number of Republicans could be in any way upset with a McCain/Sanford or McCain/Pawlenty combo.

Speaking for myself, I find both palatable enough for me to vote for.

The should I think. Huckabee will one CD in Oklahoma and get 3 delegates. In Georgia McCain will win  4 or 5 CD's and get some delegates. Mitt will at most win 2 and probably only one, and maybe none.

How many times does Mitt have to prove his electability before the GOP will finally make the right choice?

If 50% of the vote in Alabama is reported, and McCain still maintains a lead of any sort, that would be a milestone...
-------------------

Alas, as expected, it was not to be:

With 56% of the vote reported...

Huckabee: 41%
McCain: 38%
Romney: 17%

CNN:  Huckabee = "They said this was a two man race.  And, they're right.  It is and we're in it."

I just can't believe McCain is in 3rd in Minnesota.  It's another bronze from MN for McCain, I guess.
