Please pick your party box, and then pick the candidate of your choice. If you are an independent, or third party, please pick one of two parties for whom you vote most often or most identify with if pushed. If you won't vote for either McCain or Clinton, check "other."  Thank you.

I put the party affiliation aspect in, to see if there is any cross over vote action on this site, given the animus that is abroad on the Fruited Plain as to some Pubbies about McCain, and some Dems about Clinton.

I am a Republican and would very happily vote for John McCain.

What do "GOP other" and "Dem other" mean?  Shouldn't that be "other McCain" and "other Clinton"?

It means that you will cast a blank ballot or vote third party. If you are independent, or third party, you have to cast your vote under the label of a Dem or a  Pubbie.

I'd probably vote for someone else.

Just pick one box as between GOP and Dem. Flip a coin if you must. If you won't vote for either, check "other." Thanks.

It would be kind of nice if you had represented us Indys up there.  Sad

That would be another 3 boxes to add. Plus, a lot of indys in their voting habits tend to go one way. True indys per a Pew poll, make up only about 25%-30% of the cohort.  So, I thought I would try to flush that out. That is my reasoning anyway, flawed as it may be.

McCain is my first choice.

Clinton is tied with Giuliani for second place.  I would be undecided in that contest.

Fair enough, but us Indys are sometimes devious and may vote one way while thinking the other precisely to screw up polling.

It depends on the campaign and McCains VP choice.

At the moment - probably McCain as I've not enjoyed watching Hillary of late.
Come November - Likely Clinton

Since Carlhayden says he's a Democrat, probably not.  We can all be thankful for the latter.

19 "Dems" and 7 "Pubbies" have voted so far. Is that a fair reflection the partisan balance around here (with the Indys pushed to choose)?  Just curious.
