lovely.  more 'democrats' having orgasms over ron paul.

you 'democrats' need to elect him.  he will let you keep your guns!  never know when a drug-crazed negro might break in your house.

ron paul is looking out for you!  just ask david duke.

I don't support hardly anything Paul supports, I just like to see an underdog do well. And all the Republicans who really, really hate him have to watch him do well in their primary.
Same here.

Big win for Romney, right in McCain's back yard.

Romney is on a roll.

Well, after McCain won in New Hampshire, now they're sort of even.

Well, even in a regional sense, but not in a practical sense.

Even going in today, Romney had 41 soft delegates to McCain's 19.  For all the reporting that the GOP race is harder to call, it's the Democrat contest that's more of a tie.  I think Obama has 25 to Clinton's 24 as of this morning.

It looks like Paul campaigned in Nevada the most:

http://politics.nytimes.com/packages/html/election-guide/2008/primaries/states/NV.html

And none of the other major contenders than Romney campaigned there. So that's probably why he came in second.

Don't read too much into it. That's with 0.17% of precincts in.

True, but the Republicans don't have superdelegates.

It looks like Paul campaigned in Nevada the most.

Apparently it helps.  He talked to me for a long time at my caucus.  I wasn't timing it, but it was probably ten minutes or so.  Answered questions.  Bluntly, too.  He campaigned quite a big in Iowa, I know, and broke the double-digit percentage mark.  And it seems he may do so again in Nevada.  That's not bad for a guy that can't get people like Wolf Blitzer, Sean Hannity, Chris Matthews, and the rest of the talking heads to give him the time of day.  I wonder if he'll surpass Fred Thompson in delegates after today?  If so, it would show that campaigning still matters, to some degree, as much as free press.

This is hilarious.  If the exit polls are wrong and Paul somehow manages to take first instead of second, my head will implode with the sheer hilarity of the situation.

Big win for Romney, right in McCain's back yard.

Romney is on a roll.

Not really. 20% of the Republican electorate was Mormon and all the Romney had to do was get another 10% and he would have won. Not that big of a win.

It really would not matter to you how Romney wins a caucus or a primary, you and others like you will try to find anything to use as an excuse for you to say Romney did not really have much of a victory.

Yes, according to Bill Schneider, 25% of Republican voters in the caucus are Mormon, although only 12% of the Nevada population overall is Mormon.

However, Romney also carried the evangelical vote over Huckabee.

Romney coming in with a majority, or a near majority, of the vote is nonetheless a big win.

Anybody know if Nevada is a WTA delegate state or is it WTA-by-CD like Michigan was?  There are 31 delegates tied to today's caucuses.  34 total for Nevada GOP

Population (in 2004) 819, gave Bush 76% in 2004 and came within a single vote of voting for Perot in 1992.
