From what I've heard and seen - I expect Romney to do around 40% (this is from phone calls and talking to people).  Then again, based on yard signs, Ron Paul would win with the other 60%.  Seriously though - of all the states I thought Romney would win, MI is the most confident.

Someone please tell me things about Michigan and Nevada!

McCain has history on his side in Michigan and given that the Dem primary awards no delegates and is boycotted by Obama and Edwards he's gonna get independents.

I think Democrats can also vote in the Republican primary.

How on earth is Ron Paul doing worse in New Hampshire than he did in Iowa?

Iowa has a pacifist streak.

The GOP primary could end up closer to the Democratic primary.  There's only a 2% difference in the spreads now.

It's not a "trend."  Everyone voted at the same time, it just takes longer for some areas to report than others.

Because the results are coming in from specific areas at normally relatively close times, so say a largely McCain area starts coming in - the trend would be each precinct coming in, and hte trend would be one of a stronger McCain support.

At 95.68% of the vote, Republican turnout is just short of 228,000.  Looks like the 240,000 prediction will be right on the money.

When will we know how the write-in votes were distributed?  Given the tendency for cross-party write-in balloting, its entirely possible that Barack Obama got more votes than Thompson or Hunter in the Republican primary.
