Would a loss here destroy Obama's campaign? Everyone thought he'd win here, and I think this would be a major blow to his campaign's morale. I still think he could pull it out though.

No, he'd still win SC and most of the South. But nothing can be called yet.

Don't count on it.  If he loses here, it may discourage people in SC and they'll either not vote at all or vote for Hillary.  Don't count your chickens before they hatch.

I don't get it... how could every single poll be wrong?

Bradley Effect...And making unfavorable ballots disappear

There are no signs of the Bradley Effect. Looks much more as if (a lot) more independents chose to vote for McCain than expected, perhaps because the polls showed Obama so far ahead. The polls had been showing as strong as a 70-30 break in favor of the Democratic primary, but in the end independents split 50-50 across primaries.

A few days ago, someone suggested this prediction should go into the comedy goldmine.  I think his post will.

Kudos!

Hmmm...all of Bill Clinton's complaining today about the short span between Iowa and NH and the rumors of campaign staff shakeups could be all for nothing.

I think that very well could be why Obama isn't doing as well as he is. It is even more annoying because now we see that McCain didn't even need those votes. Sad

Lot of time left folks.  All I'm saying right now is that the Clinton-Obama margin will be less than McCain-Romney and that it'll will most likely be under 5%.
