I've got to go to my mother's birthday dinner, but I really couldn't be happier right now. In order to get third Edwards needed a good night and Clinton needed to have a bad one and both are happening. Yahoo!

I don't know whether anyone's caught onto this tonight, but the Clinton message actually sounds like what George Bush did against McCain in SC in 2000.

After McCain won on a message of reform in NH, Bush's change in message was to be the "reformer with results" in SC.

The advantage to Bush was that he had 2 1/2 weeks in-between NH and SC to give this message.

She won't win South Carolina. I don't care what she says from here on out. However, interesting note was that I was listening to a black talk radio and they still didn't believe America was ready for a black President, and went on to say Hillary would still win.

Not to sound bias here, but I really do think Edwards is doing better than Obama tonight.

Completely non-hackish.
Arguably true, but meaningless. Whats important is that they are both doing better than Clinton.

Agreed. Clinton has narrowed her Indy defecit a little.

Wasn't commenting on the South Carolina primary, just on the message, which has been adopted in between IA and NH.

Edwards need to hit Obama. The only way Edwards can win is to make this a two-person race between himself and Hillary. This whole partnership he has with Obama still equals "Obama wins, Edwards loses".

At this time of night Shocked

Feels like an age since Obama spoke. It's as though he can't get a word in edgeways. This audience likes what Edwards is saying right now

Oh Barack's on now Smiley

Obama has to be better in these things - the excuse given "he doesn't like them" isn't good enough.

Edwards isnt dumb. He knows he cant win. What he also knows is that Obama is waaaaay closer to his beliefs than Hillary, and Edwards is enough of a man to know what he needs to do to push ahead his agenda, and it isnt to bump Obama out of the race.

Also, if he seems supportive of Obama there's always a chance he might get the VP pick.

No he doesn't. He did fine and he is winning the elections. So what would be the point?
