We have the best health care in the world when you can get it. We don't have the best system.

As Fred just snuck in and said.

Yes, and clearly, if people go to Jamaica for vacation, they're all living in resorts.

My doctor friend knows of US citizens travelling to Scottish hospitals for care.

Did McCain just say that he knows people who have gone to Canada for healthcare and they know that America doesn't need Canada's system?

What?

I'm not really convinced anyone on this forum or on this stage tonight really understands health care, so I'm going to get something to eat right now.  Tongue

Good on Paul for mentioning India.

But then he went off on one like a street corner hobo.

Did Thompson just ignore everything Paul just said, make something up, and call him an idiot for saying it?

Paul is reverting to loud mode.

Did Thompson just ignore everything Paul just said, make something up, and call him an idiot for saying it?

Yep.

Thompson is a joke. He needs to join Hunter and Keyes in the "special" section.

Romney and Giuliani seem to be weak here. Huckabee is the guy winning, while Thompson and McCain seem to be going well. Paul is Paul, of course.

God... I wish Huckabee wasn't so insane on social issues. He sounds so sensible when he's not talking about religion, abortion, etc.

You know, Gov. Huckabee, if (among the insured), preventative care were more cost-effective than emergency care, wouldn't the insurance companies pay for it?

The problem is the lack of insurance...

He probably does to you .. Huckabee is a fiscal liberal. He's the best communicator we have, though. Probably the best the GOP has had since Reagan.
