I have not seen a single poll though showing 90% of people non-virgins by 18. Every single poll I've seen has put the number at around 50%, with the trend toward more abstinent. Last one I saw was 53%. Willy is probably correct here. 90% is probably a more accurate figure for 25.

Realistically the number is very, very small, perhaps around 5-10 percent.  However it is a mistake to think that this reflects religiousity - it does not.  Most virgins are so because they are 1) 'loser' males, or 2) unattractive/fat girls.  Good looking religious will typically not be virgins, while many virgins (abstinent because no one will have them) are quite intellectually capable atheists.

I'd also like to note that the number of male virgins is probably nearly double that of female virgins.

Ahem. Uhhh, that was maybe the most "wrong" thing I've ever heard. In today's day and age, it seems as if you don't have to be good-looking to lose your virginity; I've found that virgins are actually maybe better looking; partly because they don't get that dissipated look...

And as for "male virgins nearly double female", that just plain contradicts everything else that has ever been proven/observed/surveyed.

Probably about 15-25%. About 60% are sexed by majority. Then you have your late bloomers that constitute the other 20%. Of the other 20%, 10% are just losers and never have sex.

Probably about 10-15%, of whom almost all do so for religious/moral reasons. Among Christian homeschoolers 55-60%,among conservative Christian public schoolers closer to 25-35%, and more apathetic or liberal young people 0-5%. The trend is also more abstinent, and results are getting closer to 15-20% over all. In the Bible belt 20-25% are likely abstinent; probably above 30% among whites. I'm not saying for sure; I'm just making a guess, as is everyone else.

Nah, nothings been proven, and observation and surveys don't get at the facts here.  Boys lie and say they've done it more than they have, girls lie and say they've done it less.  Fact is a few studly boys  all the girls down to the upper echelons of the fatties.

As I said before it probably varies by region. Probably 10-15% overall; but significantly higher in the White South and Utah. I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few rural counties in the South where a majority were abstinent.

Well, in the end it's up to each individual person as to what they consider themselves, but I don't think it makes sense to classify someone who has participated in oral sex, but not actual sexual intercourse, as a non-virgin.
