Bombing of Iran.  Bush will make up some crappy story right before election day to give the GOP a boost, and will then bomb Iran as a backup.

Attention will go away from the War in Iraq to the United States' Army surge in Afghanistan. It would occur with days to go in the '08 campaign, Bush will do it so his man Huck can be elected President.

A surge in Afghanistan (with a slight draw-down in Iraq) seems the most likely, assuming Iraq continues on its current path towards greater security and stability.  I just don't see any bombing raids (let alone another invasion) being initiated by this administration in its final year in office.

I am thinking Bush's man is Rudy Giuliani. He was rumored to be considering replacing Dick Cheney with Giuliani on the ticket in the 2004 race.
