I voted east, but I only mean the northeast.

Neither! Both have a tendency to be too liberal!

West coast for about 30km inland, but in terms of two-states-in or whatever, then east coast.

The only good thing about the west coast is that monday night football starts at 6pm instead of 9 pm.

West Coast by a good margin although admittedly I have never been to the East Coast. It is gorgeous out on the coast in California.

East.  But really both are too expensive aside from any other drawbacks.

East, we have better sports. (Ducks as West Coasters chuck assortment of balls, bats, and other equipment)

At least they are both liberal. Only two places i'd want to live, aside from certain spots in the country.

North Coast!!  You can't forget the Great Lakes.  I also like the Gulf Coast, particularly the area about to get hit by Hurricane Charley.

And (pointing to map of actual home continent) definitely South Coast.
