Any Chance Giuliani Would Pick McCain?

If Rudy Giuliani wins the Republican nomination, is there any chance he would pick John McCain for Vice President?  We will assume that McCain accepts if offered.

McCain, after all, still enjoys considerable support in the country.

McCain wouldn't accept, and no-one would think of offering.

For starters, McCain would be 72, and you don't want to be worried about the "backup's" health.  Besides, even if you do win, you'd probably have to replace him for 2012, which is never a nice thing to do.

Not to mention that he's pissed off a lot of the base (especially some of the conservatives who Giuliani doesn't appeal to in the first place), would hog the ticket, can be a bit of a loose cannon at times, etc...

I like the guy, and he's still (barely) my top choice for the nomination, but he's not a good VP pick on net.

What good would that get him?  I popular moderate and an unpopular moderate = ?losing candidacy??
