Shelter Island Town, Suffolk County, New York

I spent the winter writing songs about getting better:
How the hell did this place vote for DOLE, then vote for Bush in 2000 AND THEN vote for Kerry despite Bush gaining about 6 points in its county?

It's not very big, so it's subject to large swings. First off, there's no bridge to Long Island from Shelter Island, just a pair of ferries.

Cubby:
Its in the Hamptons, and wealthy areas in the Northeast swung to Kerry in 2004.

In Connecticut, Kerry improved in Greenwich, Darien, Avon and other rich areas

Smash255:
Very small area, only has a few thousand residents
