The Social Liberals are a more moderate counterpart to the Parti radical democratique, though the primary difference between the two parties lies in language: the Social Liberals are predominantly an anglophone party, and the PRD is primarily a francophone party. The party is a small one with most if support concentrated in the middle class, particularly in the capital city of Alberton. The current unofficial color of the party is pale green, though the party has used yellow, gold and pale blue in the past as well and no official color is designated.

The Social Liberals' primarily goal is to foster a strong economy in Antillia through low corporate taxation and policies to encourage the expansion and maintenance of the middle class. The party therefore combines both rightist and leftist economic proposals, taking primarily those rightist proposals which serve to spur economic growth and those leftist ones which reduce personal financial burdens.

The Social Liberals favor free trade, low corporate taxes, and the maintenance but reduction of the progressive taxation scheme. The Social Liberals also favor offering incentives for the development of technological industries in Antillia on the belief that a small nation such as Antillia should focus its efforts on specialization in technologically advanced industry. The Social Liberals are also in favor of democratizing trade unions and for expanding the availability of higher education.

In social policy, the Social Liberals favor personal freedoms, opposing government intervention in personal life. They favor increased oversight of the cabinet by independent organizations, and are specifically in favor of the legalization of euthanasia and gay marriage, which recieve particular attention.

Although the Social Liberals have somewhat successfully reached out to the francophone middle class of Alberton and Port Valjean as well as the anglophones, their influence outside of New Ulster, and to a lesser extent Reginia and Limeria, remains minimal, particularly in francophone regions and in LeGran.
