the most annoying ron paul supporters are 'liberal' 'democrats'.

i dont think it is very liberal to hate poors.  but what do i know..

Maybe they're willing to sacrifice their positions on economics to go for the only candidate with a chance at winning (however small) that agrees with them on their #1 issue.

DU is bad, but they don't ban their own people.

Yes, they do. Quite frequently.

But anyone supporting Lieberman after the primary was banned because they were supporting a third party candidate over the Democratic nominee. You're not allowed to support non-Democratic candidates on DU.

I see.  There are alot of people on DU who have portraits of communist symbols and figures in thier profiles and have openly talked about supporting extreme left-wing candidates.  I mean, the very act of showing communist support means that you support a party other than the Democrats since there are several communist parties in America.  Why don't they get kicked off?

The Communist Party of the USA endorsed Kerry. It's perfectly normal to support Karl Marx or Che Guevara and yet still support Democrats for office. Not all communists support the same parties either, as some countries have multiple communist parties. You also can support individual communists and not be a communist yourself.

If you think supporting "extreme left-wing" candidates goes over well there, go sign and make a post praising Nader, and check out the reaction.
