Along with probably about 80-90% of Americans.

As I posted earlier, Washington voted down a referendum that would've simply increased restrictions on handgun sales with over 70% and was rejected in every county. And Washington's a liberal blue (red here) state. Outlawing handguns is not a mainstream position.
