Does anyone have a point to make on the issue that hasn't been said already?  If that were the case, I'd agree to extending also.

I see no reason to extend debate. If this passes I promise to tie this up in the courts with legal challenges.

*the latte liberal platoon somes and starts thwacking senators that oppose this Act, while other members start pamphleting (sp?)*

All the conservatives, who actually work for a living, sneer in disapproval when watching coverage of the "latte liberal platoon" wreak havoc at the senate on the evening news.

*thwack, thwack*

It has been a week since debating upon this Act commenced and the motion to extend debating has not reached the necessary support of five Senators.

I would now like to call a vote on the Act proposed by the honourable Sen. Hughento.

Please vote Yea or Nay.

I encourage the Senate to exercise some caution and not go hog wild over this piece of legislation.  While I personally support a moratorium and more scrutiny over the process, completely outlawing the right of the regions to give permanent justice to clearly guilty convicts is beyond the pale.

I encourage the Senate to take a more moderate and more considerate path.

Don, whilst usually I believe in moderation and concensus building, this one is going through on numbers.

When dealing with life, there is very little room for moderation.

Ill vote (aye) in the next post, but I would like to thank all those who have supported this bill. It is an extremely important cause and you have made it possible. I woukld also like to thank the grassroots support for this, and also those who opposed and allowed a full and fair debate, where the views of both sides were expressed well, effictively and fervently.
