Two odd counties in 1988 - was a third party in 2nd place?
(1/1)
afcassidy:
I noticed on the stats page that Bush and Dukakis combined finished first in 3115 counties... and they finished second in 3113 counties.
That's suggestive that a third party candidate popped up and took the second place spot in 2 counties. But I haven't yet been able to figure out where. Any help?
Meeker:
They tied in Ferry County, WA. Both get a first place ranking, neither get a second.
Same thing happened in 1984 in Gallatin County, KY.
